1.1.4 - The Hotkeys Update!
Hi!
This update is something we’ve wanted into the game for quite a while now, but finding a logical hotkey for every thing in a game like Castle Story has proven to be quite the headache. But we’ve done it!
Today’s update will add hotkeys to almost everything in the game and changes some of the keyboard’s usability to a more user friendly approach.
Also, we’ve slipped in some changes to the balance of military units. Here’s the full changelog;
- Changed key to access in-game menu from ESC to F10.
- ESC now allows you to exit tasks.
- Changed the “Snap camera to ground” key to Back Quote (used to be V).
- You can now use the DEL (delete) key to delete tasks.
- Added new hotkeys to a large majority of structures.
- Added new hotkeys to the most commonly used blocks.
- Added new hotkeys to every single task.
- Added hotkeys for most crafting/toggling/queuing options in tasks.
- Back to work is now binded to X instead of F.
- G now opens the structures menu, instead of M.
- T now opens the tasks menu, instead of Back Quote.
- Z now stops Bricktrons, instead of T.
- Split the options menu in 2; one for in-game general settings and another one for key bindings.
- Keybindings is now split into several sections; global, task panel, blocks, structures, blueprints, task selected, crafting and world editor.
- Updated the tutorial localization to accommodate this update.
- Fixed Debug Menu’s “Pause Daytime”.
- Fixed a bug where after a save/load, client side weapon stands would be break, allowing different types of kits in the same stand.
- Fixed hotkeys triggering when typing a save’s name.
Balance changes
After observing the unofficial Conquest PvP tournament hosted by Sir Dinga and Dante, we came to the conclusion that some units needed a bit of tweaking. We ran a playtest, gathered your feedback and this is what we’ve changed, for now.
- Reduced Halberdier’s movement speed.
- Increased Archer’s movement speed.
